Integrity Life - one of the first to receive a new life insurance licence in Australia in decades. They were building their technology platform from the ground up, with a focus on delivering a modern, real-time digital experience for advisors.

The challenge

The insurer needed a business logic layer that could support a real-time, customer-facing advisor quoting experience. Advisors needed to be able to formulate quotes and see the effect on pricing in real time as they adjusted parameters. This required low-latency, high-fidelity calculation services that could handle the complexity of life insurance pricing, product rules, and validation - all without introducing delays into the user experience.

What we did

Digital Experience Labs implemented Decisions as the business logic layer sitting behind Integrity Life's advisor-facing platform. Our scope was the back-end decisioning capability - another party delivered the front-end experience. The Decisions implementation provided case management for the quote experience, premium calculation services responding instantly as advisors adjusted quote parameters, and product validation ensuring data integrity and rule compliance before calculations were executed.

All of this was designed to support low-latency, real-time interactions. The advisor-facing platform went on to win industry recognition for its user experience - and Decisions provided all of the smarts behind it.

The outcome

The platform enabled advisors to generate and manage quotes in real time, with immediate visibility of pricing impacts as they adjusted parameters. The Decisions layer delivered the calculation, validation, and case management services reliably at the speed required for a responsive, customer-facing application. The front-end experience built on top of this capability went on to receive an industry award.
