Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits and can store information about your preferences and interactions.
Cookies are set either by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by third-party services that the website uses (third-party cookies). Cookies can be session cookies — which expire when you close your browser — or persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a set period.
Not all cookies involve personal data. Where cookies do collect information that can identify you, we handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes. The table below identifies each cookie category, the specific cookies involved, their purpose, and whether your consent is required.
| Category | Cookies Used | Purpose | Consent Required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Session cookies, security tokens, cookie consent preference (dxlabs_consent) | Essential for the website to function correctly. These cookies enable navigation, security, and allow the website to remember your cookie consent choice. They cannot be disabled. | |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4: _ga, _ga_[ID] (persistent, 2 years; 1 year respectively) | Help us understand how visitors interact with our website — including pages visited, time spent, and navigation paths — so we can improve the content and user experience. Data is aggregated and IP addresses are anonymised where technically possible. | |
| Marketing & Advertising | LinkedIn Insight Tag: li_fat_id, UserMatchHistory, bcookie, lidc (persistent, varies 30 days to 1 year) | Used to measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn advertising, track conversions from LinkedIn campaigns, and (where consented) enable retargeting to show relevant DXLabs content to website visitors on LinkedIn. No advertising cookies are set without explicit consent. | |
| Functional | Cookie consent preference cookie (dxlabs_consent) — 12 months | Remembers your cookie consent preferences so we do not need to ask again on every visit. |
3. Your Cookie Choices
3.1 Cookie Banner
When you first visit our website, a cookie consent banner will appear. You can:
- Accept all cookies — enables strictly necessary, analytics, and marketing cookies
- Reject non-essential cookies — only strictly necessary cookies will be active
- Manage preferences by category — choose which categories of non-essential cookies to enable
3.2 Changing Your Preferences
You can update or withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of our website. Your updated preferences will take effect immediately, and we will adjust which cookies are active accordingly.
3.3 Browser Controls
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View the cookies currently stored on your device
- Block all cookies, or block cookies from specific websites
- Delete cookies that have already been stored
Please note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of our website and other websites you visit. Refer to your browser's help documentation for specific instructions:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set directly by third-party services we use, rather than by DXLabs. These third-party cookies are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third parties, not this Cookie Policy. We do not control how those third parties use the data they collect.
| Third Party | Privacy Policy | Cookies Set |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC | policies.google.com/privacy | _ga, _ga_[ID] (Analytics); GTM session data |
| LinkedIn (Microsoft) | linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy | li_fat_id, UserMatchHistory, bcookie, lidc |
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing is not tracked. There is currently no agreed industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our website does not currently respond to DNT signals, but you can use the cookie preference controls described in Section 3 to limit tracking.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our use of cookies changes or in response to new legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
If we make material changes (for example, introducing a new category of cookie), we will display a new cookie consent banner to obtain your updated consent where required.
